Scene deactivation - how to write NFC tag

Post by HTB » Fri Mar 17, 2023 4:36 pm

:?:

I have successfully used the function "Copy to NFC tag" to activate a scene but I cannot see a way to write a tag to deactivate a scene that is on. Is this possible? Thanks.

The hue bridge does not provide a function to deactivate a scene and go back to the previous light settings.

But if you just want to turn off the lights, you can create another scene where the lights are turned off and save it. Then write this scene to the NFC tag. When you activate it, your lights will turn off. I hope this helps.

Thanks Rene for the explanation and the work around.

Creating a 'lights off' scene will achieve what I want.

 :)
