Replacing Hue Lamps

If a Hue lamp fails or needs to be upgraded to a new type (e.g. from Ambient White to Colour), it means deleting the old lamp, registering a new one on the hub, and then finding out where it is used in scenes/timers etc., and then adding the new one wherever it is needed. Would it be possible to have a 'Replace' command so that you can just replace one lamp serial number with another, and then it would be a simple change to make?

I understand your idea. But the serial number is unique and cannot be replaced by another one. And it is technically not possible to simply replace a certain light in an existing scene with another one - there is no corresponding hue bridge command for this

Your idea is good, but it is technically not feasible. Sorry to say that.
