Google Play restricts the use of the app permission “Detect Incoming SMS”. Apps are only allowed to detect incoming SMS or calls in future, if this is the core functionality of the app. “all 4 hue” detects incoming SMS to notify the user with flashing the hue bulbs. Google did NOT accept this case as major use case of the app, thus this feature has to be removed from the app till March 2019. I have raised an objection, but it was rejected. Unfortunately, I have to remove the device event “Messages” from the app within the next weeks.
